Polar Plunge & Polar Bear Strut 5K
This "unbearable" event is a unique opportunity to show your bravery as you support local Special Olympics Missouri athletes by walking, running or crawling into the frigid winter waters. If going in to the cold water is not for you, you can strut your stuff in the Polar Bear Strut 5K. In 2025, the Lake of the Ozarks Plunge & Strut had 242 participants and raised more than $235,000! This one-of-a-kind event promises a fun atmosphere complete with music, funny costumes, and lasting memories for everyone!

Each Polar Bear must raise a minimum of $75 to participate in the Plunge and $50 to participate in the Strut.
